Customer Reviews:

Great Hold!

I've tried many styling products for my hair but nothing has given me the hold and control that this has. It's not sticky or heavy and it doesn't leave any residue. I'm really happy with it.

Unpleasant smell

I was really disappointed with the smell of this product. It's overpowering and not pleasant at all. It's a shame because it does work well for styling my hair but I just can't deal with the smell.

Excellent Value for Money

Compared to other high-end products I've tried, this is by far the best in terms of price and quality. It does exactly what it promises and doesn't break the bank. I highly recommend it.

Decent but not outstanding

It's a decent product, it provides a decent hold and is easy to use. It's not outstanding but for the price, I think it's good enough. I might buy it again.

Difficult to wash out

While it gives a good hold, it's really difficult to wash out. I had to shampoo my hair multiple times to get it out. I'm not sure if I'll be using it again.

It's okay

It's not the best styling product I've used but it's not the worst either. It does its job but I wouldn't say it's anything special. I might try other products before deciding if I want to repurchase this.

Product Summary:

The Equate Styling Fiber is a hair styling product that provides a strong, yet not overly firm, hold compared to American Crew Fiber. While some users have noted a greasy feel, it generally offers a stiff, manageable hold. The product initially has an unpleasant scent, but this fades after about an hour, leaving no residual fragrance. It delivers a good hold with a matte finish but may cause a dry, flaky look to hair after several hours.

Included in its formulation, the grooming cream helps enhance hair appearance. The Styling Fiber has a smooth, thick texture, facilitating easy application and distribution through the hair. Despite its thickness, it doesn't leave a sticky or heavy sensation but rather provides a natural and flexible hold.

Priced between $5 and $10, the product is especially suitable for managing thick hair, offering a soft yet firm hold. It performs optimally on short hair, regardless of thickness, providing a reasonable hold. However, it may not maintain its hold throughout the day as effectively as similar products like American Crew.

The product can leave hair feeling greasy, and removing it can be somewhat challenging. Overusing the product can result in greasy hair and a diminished hold. Moreover, excessive application might lead to an oily scalp and forehead, attributed to the presence of lanolin in the formula.
