Exceptional Hold
I've used many hair products, but this one takes the cake. It has an exceptional hold that lasts all day. Whether I'm at work or out with friends, it never disappoints. I'm thoroughly satisfied with its performance.
Difficult to Wash Out
While this product holds my hair in place like no other, it's incredibly hard to wash out. I have to shampoo my hair multiple times before it fully comes out. It's quite a hassle and a big downside for me.
Great Value for Money
I've found this pomade to be excellent value for money. A little bit goes a long way and the tin lasts me several months. It's definitely worth every penny.
Strong Scent
The scent is quite strong. While it's not unpleasant, it can be overwhelming at times. If you're sensitive to strong scents, this may not be the product for you.
Too Greasy
The texture is far too greasy for my liking. It leaves my hair feeling heavy and weighed down. I have to use a lot of shampoo to get rid of the greasiness.
Decent Overall Experience
My experience with this pomade has been decent overall. It holds well but can be hard to wash out. A bit greasy but offers good value for money. I'm on the fence about repurchasing.
Murray's Superior Pomade is a high-strength hair styling product particularly effective for managing curly and wavy hairstyles. Its robust hold, however, can result in a greasy, unstyled appearance and poses challenges in washing out, sometimes leaving hair looking dirty for extended periods. The pomade's texture is thick and slightly sticky, resembling a wax-based product, yet it isn’t excessively oily. Its dense consistency aids in styling and maintaining hair in place.
The pomade emits a sweet, subtle vanilla and cocoa scent, which enhances the hair styling experience without being overpowering or lingering too long. While Murray's Superior Pomade excels for individuals with thick, curly, or wavy hair, it's less suitable for those with thin or fine hair due to its heavy texture that can be challenging to work with. Applying a thin layer of this pomade can effectively combat humidity, keeping hairstyles intact for days.
A notable downside of this product is the difficulty in washing it out, both from hair and hands after application. It tends to leave residue on bed pillows and may require several washes for complete removal. Overapplying the pomade can lead to a thick, greasy texture in the hair that is hard to eliminate, and it dries quickly, making styling difficult and removal from hands challenging. The price of Murray's Superior Pomade generally falls between $3 and $10, making it an affordable option, albeit with some considerations regarding its use and removal.
